I just added a (new to me)P3At to my collection. It's actually a first generation of the model.Small and light. Fits in a shirt pocket or front jean pocket with no imprint!
Finally took it to the range. I was firing in the inner circle from the get-go! Recoil is not bad when you consider the size of the gun. A problem came up. Light strikes! A lot of light strikes! Since I was using a box of reloads from the range I attributed at least some of it to that. Has anyone had this problem? If so, what was the solution. I have already lightly sanded the firing pin and the face ,with 1000 grit, and purchased three different brands of .380 for my next try. I won't be able to fire it again until next week.

crzbiker, go to the Kel-Tec home page, scroll down to the Kel-Tec forum and enter the forum.
Go to the earliest entry's regarding the P3AT first issue and fallow the threads, there you will find answers to all your current questions and some you did not anticipate, with little or no investment to yourself you can turn your P3AT into a reliable and first class carry pistol.

crzbiker, Yes, I have had this problem. This gun is beautiful to carry, but it is sensitive to dirt. Be sure to clean it well. Also, mine does not like hard primers. So experiment with different stuff. I have not had problems with S&B and Remington ammo. I have had problems with Black Hills. I hope this is a help.

I followed everyone's advice, particularly the part about polishing this little gun. The firing pin chamber had a lot of stuff in it. After I cleaned it out and polished up the pin the misfires stopped entirely. Once again this site has educated me!
