not much snow here in the flatlands, but above 2000' there is lots of it. For a day or so, So Cal was almost cut off from the rest of the world from the snow falling on the mountain passes. Most of the Mojave Desert from here to Las Vegas was covered in snow, probably the most snow in 30 years.
I'm originally from Wis., and I've been here for over 30 yrs, but I still laugh when people start bundling up like eskimos when it gets below 50°. This week it's been down to the mid 30s, so even I'm cold!

Well when I checked in this morning that was after I finished mine and before me and the two younger kids, 13 & 15, went to do their Uncle Al's and his two neighbors. We came home and had a quick grilled cheese and went out to clear the church's sidewalk only, with the old vintage blower I resurrected last year. Well after replacing the forward belt again, she tore it up and now I'm waiting on our city to plow in me and the other 3 houses so we can clear out the driveways. Boy I'm glad my son Chet got those snow jobs for the winter, I just wish he paid better to his workers,LOL!

Gonna sit down to a plate of spaghetti and wait on the call for when the city plows go by. Hope ya all had a less digout day than I. I'm guessing we caught between 10 and 14 inches of the white stuff. I'll try and get some pics up, and one of the igloo the kids made in the yard.

Wow Norm you ain't kiddin'! You probably even put on a long sleeve shirt today didn't ya!LOL!
Finally home for the night, plows did a fine job piling it high and deep into the driveways, and with me on a corner I get to clear the sidewalks too, such a lucky guy I am. But I'm working and haven't had to sell any guns, knock on wood, so far to make ends meet. Well its to the showers and some hot chocolate and schnapps or maybe just a LaBatt's, and I'll see if I can make some off the wall comments on the forum tonight.

See ya in a few fellas!

Decided to go with something different, Kahlua and Bailey's on ice. Didn't have the schnapps, or vodka for a black russian, so I made up something new to me. What's up fellas.

Brrr. The winter has come to the old pueblo (Tucson). I can see snow on the tops of the Santa Catalina and the Rincon ranges. In my back yard the thermometer plunged to 54F

God, I love Tucson. A little hard in the summer though.

Did I read that right? Did it actually get under 95 degrees in Tucson? I used to live there years ago and all I remember is pure heat, lots of cacti, and no one there had grass.
On an unrelated note, do not drive through the Sierra Nevada range during the winter. I got a first hand experience last month. Not fun at all.
