First range report

Just got back from the range - the guns shot great! I went through about 150 rounds of FMJ ball, both Monarch and Norinco. No failures of any kind. I even tried Hornady hollowpoints - full magazine, plus one in the chamber. Fed flawlessly! Recoil wasn't bad, about on par with my PA-63. The slide never cut me but I did get some hammer bite. The '69 had absolutely horrible double-action trigger pull - long, stiff and gritty. The '73 was much better but still too stiff. It's kind of like having an additional safety. You really have to want to fire the gun to break that double-action.

Accuracy was pretty good, even the guy next to me commented on how good I was shooting. His eyes bugged out of his head when I told him how they were unissued brand new 35+ year old guns and the price. I have a feeling he'll be visiting MCS soon!

Congrats, those little pistoles are some kind of fun. And they are still a secret to alot of people. I had a guy in a gun store tell me that a P-64 was junk!!!! I asked if he had ever shot one and he said no, but, was able to tell me about the pistoles performance. Imagine that. :D
