I have a PA-63 with the factory spring still inside it and damn does it hurt the webbing of my hand! I know that there are springs that are out there to buy, such as the ones made by Wolff, but how do I know which one to buy? Do I need the 13lb or the 15lb? I don't mind recoil that much, I just want to be able to go through two mags without wanting to kick myself for not bringing an ice pack (only kidding of course).

Wolff springs will be a benefit. The 13 lb.recoil spring has worked very well in my PA-63. I haven't tried the 15.
The 11 lb hammer spring is handy too.
They are nice pistols and capable of surprising accuracy.

a heavier recoil spring definitely makes a difference, I got the 15#. With the original spring I could not shoot more than one mag without taking a break. Now I can "shoot all day"!

I have been avoiding it, but I think I am going to change out my springs also. I have been an old die hard and kept the pistole as is just because. However I'm with you guys, 1 clip and I yell uncle. It looks as though it would shoot smooth because of the configuration of the grip, but its a trick. I think I will get my springs on order tomorrow or the next day or..........I love these guns!!
