I bought this helmet at a yard sale for $1.00 I don't have a clue if it is military or not the clasp on the chin strap says "Anchor Brand" Pat. 6-26-12. It really looks interesting and if anyone can give me some info on it I would be a happy man.

Norm, I think it could be. If it is I think it should be Navy don't you. I have search for a while but nothing has nailed it down to anything specific. Thanks for the input Norm, you are thinking along the same lines I am.

Trent, that makes sense also. I suppose that civil defense helmet would be white. Trying to remember some old movies...best I got is the 3 stooges. ??? Norm that would put it in the correct time that you thought it was worn. Thanks trent, that makes sense now.
