My wife is not going to like this

Post by 6x6pinz »

I picked up an Accu-tek 380 AT II today. Going to head to the range later this week and give it a try. The weight was the first thing I noticed, for a 380 it is very heavy. The guy gave me a week to take it to the range and try it out. He claims that with Sellier & Bellot (my favorite 380 ammo) it should have no problems.
I will get pics and range report later in the week once I have had a chance to fire it

6x6pinz, if you haven't told your spousal unit about the new gun yet I suggest that you either put a lamp shade and a fake cord on it and tell her that it is a new lamp for your area or tell her it is a pencil sharpener made like a gun that you thought looked really neat. I have done that before, however I have been caught and are no longer able to pull these brilliant explanations off.

Good Luck

She is usually pretty good about my gun habit. I just have had a string of new toys come my way. Some really good deals that were just too hard to pass by. The nice thing is the 380 and 9x18 are guns she can handle. She has taken to one of my 32's so I need to find a good one for her. She was using a Bersa thunder with a satin nickel finish in 380 for CC until she shot my CZ in 32 cal. She has not seen a pistol that strikes her fancy yet but I am keeping an eye out for one.

MY wife found a .32 mag of the Tarus persuasion. Its airweight with a 2'' bbl but right on at 15'. It has a compensated bbl so the recoil is about nil. You have a good wife and I would keep her if I were you. :)

blindog,

I like the lamp shade and pencil sharpener idea, I know it won't work, but maybe my wife would think those excuses are good enough to explain my deep desire for really wanting a new gun and desperately coming up with the lamp shade or pencil sharpener reasoning...... ::)

Well the Accu tek performed as I expected, very well. The weight makes it a gem to shoot. I was able to keep relatively tight groups with it but would prefer sights that stand out more. I might put some red sight paint on the front and highlight the rear with white. Over all nice shooter but still not the quality of my walther, the search continues for one that will keep up with my old walther ppk/s
