I finally gathered the group into one room and took a picture. I was the lucky recipient of several "gift" guns. (Gift=Free).
I say that because, I love guns, but could never afford all of these on my own. My Dad Fixed me up well and a couple of friends helped also.
The double barreled shotgun laying on the floor is in the process of a re-blueing. I have the barrel ready and now I am working on the action and parts. It looked "really Old" and since the bores were pitted , I decided I could not hurt the value of it . It is a Union 12ga. SxS that was hand fitted(pretty crappy looking inside of the stock where it mounts to the action. Looks like a wood chisel was the only tool they had back then)
It already looks 75% better after removing what was left of the dirty blueing from 1900's. I will post pics when i get it done. Image

Thanks All ! I was a bit suprised myself after I sat them all out like that. I knew I had several , but , with all of the free ones that came in lately, I didn't realize just how it would look all lined up like this. I actually have a "collection" ! hehe My wife walked in and seen this and said, " and You want more?". Then I told her what the approximate value of them was and she changed her tune abruptly. She is now waiting for me to die so she can cash-in. LOL
well, Now I am charged with the task of wiping down and oiling all of these and getting them back into their rightful places. (daughter moved out so I have that spare room with the double closet now). It is their new home. I am building racks for them now.
The worst part of the whole deal is putting all of those gun locks back on them ! Geez that is tedious work. My Keyring looks like a hotel maintainance man's keyring. It is too large to carry in my pocket. Next step is a good desicant to absorb moisture.
One thing I am learning now is~ This is alot of work to care for all of them. I do so Gladly tho.
My family and friends are welcome to borrow any of them when they go shooting so I have some fun with that also. Teaching the young kids how to shoot and seeing their faces is worth it all.
Happy Shooting Guys ! G
