FEG PA-63 9mm Short new purchase

I have some questions about the PA-63 and I hope I am not being redundant because of the possibility of these questions being asked before.

I have a PA-63 in 9mm Short .380

It is two tone and not all black.

1): Are the 9x18 mags the same and safe to shoot?

Mine came with one mag. It has a black hard rubber base. Most of the PA-63 mags I have seen on GB and at shows have the aluminium bases.

2): Is there such a thing as a factory non-thumbrest left grip for this gun?

I am not a big fan of thumbrests. I know about the grips Dennis offers, but I like to stay original if possible.

3): I have a couple of dings in the frame on the back strap and near the corners. Nothing terrible, but I would like to clean these up. Has anyone used crocus cloth, wet sandpaper, or a Dremel with polishing compound on one of these?

Thanks guys. In the meantime I'll sit back and start cleaning

;)

the PA-63 utilizes 380 mag's 9 x 18 mags and 380 mags are all the same

and PA-63 didn't come in 380 the AP 9 is a 380

and yes they did make flat grips for them ,importion rules is why the tumb rest

Nice buy fritzhund, I was watching one at the auction arms web site until I purchased a revolver instead. Let us know how it shoots, if it is as accurate as the 9x18 caliber you have a real shooter on your hands. Will watch for your follow up postings, keep us informed.
