The snow has now covered the streets and sidewalks for the first time this season. Well, atleast I'll be able to stop taking my allergy meds in a couple of days after the next couple of good freeze days. Did manage to test the snow-blower last week, ran the gas out of the mower too. Now I just need to go out into the weather soon and get the lights up. Come on 40's, that'll work for me. Maybe a little hot chocolate and some schnapps, or a lot of schnapps will do the trick!!

I passed 6 - 8 wrecks on my way home tonight. It's good to be alive and next to the fire.

Well - rain clouds just parted, sun is peeking out, outside temp is about 75F.
Another terrible December in Dallas.
I have five year old husky/malamute mix, poor dog never played in snow in her life.
Just watched her this morning trying to dig her "snow cave" in pile of dead leafs.
I do miss snow, I don't miss totaling my truck on I-90 after hitting black ice on Chicago's south side (walk away from this one without a scratch).

Well after working a double last night, I got up around 2:30pm and got some coffee in me and walked around like a zombie for while. My son and I gathered up some of the outside decorations and ladders, ect.... Got started after dinner around 7:30ish, just got in and 25 degrees is still cold enough to warrant some hot chocolate and schnapps in my book.
Time to relax, catch a little Hockey Night in Canada with Don Cherry, sip this hot chocolate down, maybe a little popcorn

, and post with some buds from across this GREAT country of ours.

Oh yeah! Big Don is still alive. He's taking up wearing alot of roses in honor of his late wife Rose. Here's a phone pic off the tv from a couple of weeks ago. Classic, just plain classic Don, what else can I say!!

Tonight looks like our first really good storm of the season. They're predicting about a foot when it's over. Not quite as impressive as nbender's, but definitely a good amount to have to move tomorrow!!
