didn't know where to put this

It started on Dec. 7th.
When it will end, we do not know.
But I would like to tell some of you
with names like....Bill and Joe.
Yes, you know a war is going on
You listen to the radio alright.
But I often wonder if you know
Just what the war is like.
You read about it in the papers,
and see it in the show.
Just what this war is like,
I'm sure you do not know.
I have some news papers over here,
That my folks send me from home.
Just one look at the head lines,
makes us give out with a moan.
The head lines in the paper read,
'There is another strike'.
Can you imagine reading this,
Then going out to fight?
"What the hell is wrong with them?"
I asked of Ted and Mike.
Then Ted bowes his head.
and says "This isn't right"
He's thinking of pals who lie wounded,
of their parents, and those who were wed.
Tears roll down his cheeks,
When he thinks of his buddies.....dead.
When he goes to sleep tonight,
Yes, thats right,
He's thinking of people who
Don't know what war is like,
The war will soon be over,
Thats what people say,
But how can they think such things.
When they are striking every day.
There aren't any high class words,
so I'm sure you will understand,
Just imagine you and I are
Talking.....man-to-man.
So let's get those tanks 'a rollin'
Rolling with all their might------
and keep those bombers flyin',
so we can win this fight.
Pray, that people will soon wake up
And see that I am right,
When I tell them they don't know
This poem I have written
Means alot to me,
So come on you people
LETS WORK FOR VICTORY.
