I dont see a date stamp anywhere on either of my PA-63s. There are several stamps but they are very soft punched. They are so light they are barely noticable.
Anyone know?

russian,
What's really weird is that my PA-63 doesn't say "9x18" anywhere on it, and it doesn't even have an import mark. My gunsmith even looked, and guesses that it may have been missed!

All mine says is PA-63 on the slide and on the bottom of the front strap it has import markings AND 9x18mm. Make ya wonder why some are different.

I don't care when they were made they are great little pistole's. I watched "How It's Made" on the Science channel yesterday and they spent about ten minutes on how Titanium is manufactured, it is a wonder to me how they can sell for so little. The PA63 has to be right up there as one of the best buys around.

We don't know how much titanium (and other ingredients) there are in the aluminum alloy of a PA-64's frame, but Wikipedia says: "The addition of .1% titanium to the aluminum alloy solved premature alloy frame wear problems inherent in the earlier FEG aluminum framed pistols." We don't know how much titanium there was before the "addition."

Hi All As to date on my PA-64 There is no date on the pistol at all , but with the 2 mags that came with the pistol on the forplate of 1 is the serial # of the pistol & on the other mag is stamped 1978 no other marks, so your guess is as good as mind hope this helps some , any ways there a great value in todays gun market in my view.STUMPIE
