anybody out there know about the innards of a spanish destroyer? can't find any pics or descriptions of inner parts. problem related to the mechanism (don't know proper name) that holds firing pin untill triggered.
if you closed bolt to fire and jarred gun a little the firing pin would be released (fire). opened up the gun and everything inside looked kosher but that very part i mentioned. it is the only part in there that doesn't look like it came with the gun, different color and perhaps a different material. if it were shaped slightly differently it would rise higher and hold the pin securely.
any thoughts/help greatly appreciated.

I think they were imported by CENTURY INTERNATIONAL ARMS

they should be able to supply you with a manual

if its like most surplus guns its full of Cosmolin and must cleaned off first before ever using the gun or it WON'T work right , even new guns should be throughly cleaned be fore ever fired

This is what i found

9mm Largo is that the same caliber as the French MAB that looks alot like a 1911 style semi auto? I remember seeing that caliber in some handguns.

I have this thing in my head that I love having multiple guns that shoot the same caliber and having rifles and handguns that share is an even more fun idea!

I'm thinking of a 30 caliber Ruger and an M1 carbine clone! I need to start working on geting to 90 so I can be average!! ;D

the whole story.
a while back:
i was told by a well meaning person that i needed a new bolt to correct the firing sensativity as described above.
i ordered the bolt... it was a used bolt body. i moved the firing pin and spring and extractor ect to the 'new' bolt. new bolt, same problem.
i opened up the works and found it mostly clean and nothing amiss except that one part that looks different.

fast forward:
i got nothing to lose here.. gun was a gift.. didn't work when i got it.. time to 'fix' it. ground a little off of the alledgedly offensive part. now gun functions as i suspect it should. that dog (still don't know the name) that holds the firing pin back when cocked now raises high enough to (absolutely) securely hold the pin untill triggered. once you pull trigger, the dog drops just below even with the body when the pin goes by. looks perfect to me. seems to be working. all the actions are smooth and tight inside. still have not located parts diagram to confirm my suspicions of wrong part in wrong gun. as destroyers appear to have been 'cottage' made i strongly feel this is the case.

thats the whole story... i welcome any input anyone may have
thanks!
