I have 3 cannon's that I can fire, one has a brass barrel on it I got Dixie gun works 25 years ago as a kit , 3/8 bore
this one I made from a piece of stainless steel Shelby tubing ,
1 5/8 in bore, its a mortar

this one a Friend of mine turn on a metal lath ,5/8 in bore
please excuse the dust just had my house tiled a week ago and there is dust every where

Neat cannons! I used to live in McKenzie, TN and used to love to go to Union City to browse around Dixie Gun Works. Turner Kirkland was a fine gentleman.

Those Canon are very cool !! Hey Norm, did you crawl down the barrel and dream you were the canon ball? lol i bought this pin at a garage sale for a dime . I wonder if any of y'all are familiar with it and it's designation ?
This is the closest insignia that I have seen to the pin.

(man i hate to see these old medals at a garage sale. Some of these were earned with blood and life and it seems shameful that they have lost their meaning to these folks that sell them as junk. God Bless our Men.)
