What's your favorite "Non-P64" semi-auto pistol?
We've done your favorite revolver...and I hope the thread never ends but now how about your favorite semi-auto pistol!?
We know everyone on this forum loves the P-64 so it doesn't qualify but, what else do you like???
I just love this...
...my 1943(ish) Radom P-35. One cool gun, with the historical german markings, designed (copied from) John Browning's own Hi Power P-35. A blast to shoot and still accurate as anything!
And my 1911 just can't be touched...
...the best "everything" round and design ever. Fun, accurate, again history involved here...someday I'll get others but for now these are my favorites.
What's yours?

Like the others, my Makarovs are close to my heart. I'm particularly fond of this East German model.

Nbender: Are you the only person to ever buy or did you buy Makarov dot Com's entire supply of the brass magazine floorplates?
I love that look and they've been out forever in all likelihood never to have them again and your Mak seems to be the only one to ever appear with them on the Mags???
Hmmmmm?!
PS: I love my Mak (Bulgarian) too but just not quite there with my Radom and 1911.

That picture's getting around a bit, huh?
It's been years and years since I bought those brass floorplates. They never had many of them, and they were poured into a rough mold to begin with. It took some scrubbing to reduce the size of the pits so they were photogenic. They came painted black. The paint almost immediately started to peel off them and then I realized they would shine up and I could let some Bad Guy have it while he was mesmerized staring at the shiny floor plate.

I'm like anjdrifter, at the moment its my Colt 70 series with the custom made Ash grips that were made from the handle of an old ax that my dad had, that I have had since 1976, but I might change my mine later too. Dag nab it, I wish maybe for once someone would ask for the top 3 or 4 most favorite somethings or another, instead of just one, man that is hard to do for me, but because that is what the topic is, here is mine, at lest for the moment...... :-/
nbender,
You got me again with that pic of your Makarov, I love that pic, I down loaded it also to my files so I can sneak a peak at it from time to time.
carguy,
You might for the sake of all of us down size you pic's to fit here to 640x480 which is the size for message boards, it keeps us from having to scroll sideways to read the messages.......thanks!!!

Stoeger Cougar 9mm. Same as a Baretta Cougar 8000.
Note on image resize, you can also hand edit the first part of the tag like this:

Sorry about the size of my pictures. I guess I just do everything BIG!
Anjdrifter: I do like the look of you CZ-52. I know Papabear and I have talked about them as well and he has a beauty as well. I may juist have to consider one as I have always liked the Tokerov TT-33 and they shoot the same round. Might be an excuse to have another pair that share a round!! When I ever can afford the TT33, I'd of course insist on buying a Polish version from Radom. 8~)

Hey guys, check into the Taurus PT111, PT 140, or PT145. All about $300. Great pistols with a little more umph than our beloved CZAK. I have the 9mm 111, and just bought the 45ACP 145 to replace my Glock 30 that my NSA son ran off with.
The new SA/DA taurus PTs are a real dream at the price.
JMHO,
Stan
