quote from BEN at Classic Arms
WHEN WE RECEIVED OUR LATEST BATCH OF M38 AND M44 RIFLES, WE ONLY RECEIVED 1 CRATE ( 15 PIECES ) OF THE LAMINATED M38'S. WE DECIDED THAT SINCE THEY WERE SO PRETTY , AND SINCE WE HAD SO FEW, WE SHOULD JUST CHROME ALL OF THEM. WELL , THEY ARE NOW DONE AND THEY TURNED OUT GREAT. OUR HARD CHROME RIFLES ARE THE TALK OF THE INDUSTRY AND IF YOU EVER SEE ONE IN PERSON YOU WILL SEE WHY. THEY ARE VERY NICE. LIMITED TO STOCK ON HAND SO HURRY.... $169.95

Nice. But you don't get the fun of "de-cosmoing" it.
I have been looking for ammo for my new toy as well and I think these guys have one of the best deals out there. May order some tonight http://ammunitiontogo.com/catalog/index ... ath=33_132

Norm,
CDNNSPORTS.COM still should have some Igman-made x54r heavy-ball surplus from 2002. It's brass case and boxer primed, at $139 for 420 rds, it's supposedly cheaper than empty brass. It's not on their website, but in their downloadable catalog. I got 2 cans when it was still $109 each can. Ask for Marshall.
And a nice specimen there, looks real cool in chrome. Some MN fans would cringe, though. (Not me!)

Well now you'll have a use for those bullets I just dropped in the mail. I guess brass would be the next necessity.
I was tempted to buy one of those chrome beauties but had to work on a budget when I did. Ben is a great guy to deal with at Classic.
Congratulations!

Norm, just out of curiosity....does the Classic Arms M-38 have the M-44 stock with the bayonet slot cut out in the stock? A lot of re-arsenal 38's were put into 44 stocks from what I've heard.
