If yours isn't gunked up with cosmoline, you may have the same problem I have.

After hundreds of rounds, the P-64 I have fired the most started doing this a month or so ago. It takes force to unstick the slide and allow it to go forward. I replaced the recoil spring with a new, stronger one and it has done it a couple times since. The innards look okay when I compare with another, so I'm stumped. I plan to take a ride over to see Norm and let him give it a look.

the only time I have ever had one get stuck is when I had my first one and I had put the recoil spring in backwards so need to see one do this with the spring in right
