I'm going to order some grips from Dennis. I was thinking of getting the grips thicker than factory, which is 1 3/16" including frame. Would 1 5/16" make any difference or should I go thicker, like maybe 1 1/2"?

Whatever you are comfortable with. Dennis is going to provide a new screw and nut that is appropriate to the grips.
