Anyone know where I can get a replacement safety. Mine somehow broke into two pieces and will no longer decock :-/

Send the slide back to the place you bought it they should replace it at no charge

That would be SOG. I guess I'll try contacting them and seeing what they do. I'll let you know what happens.

these safeties were cast and then milled then harden , I think some were cast to hot so the metal in them crystallized you have the 4th one I have heard about . were you dry fring the gun with the stock sping with out any snap caps in it when broke.

Actually, I had cut down the mainspring by 2.5 coils prior to dry firing. I guess I wont be dry firing these anymore. Fortunately, I ordered 2 pistols so I'll have one to shoot while this one goes back to SOG.

Do the P-64's have a special problem with loose safeties? At the height of their importation, I saw a dealer with a whole box of them. Most had loose safeties. I sorted through them and bought the tightest one. However, I need to be careful that the safety does not reengage while I am firing. It usually doesn't happen with the first clip, but eventually the safety falls down, you need to push up the safety, and you need to pull double action again. Do any of you have a similar problem?
