Yahoo! I just purchased a P64 from MCS Firearms. Its a 1973 model. Can't wait. Illinois to Ohio shoudn't take too long to get here. I'm waiting for a call from a local Gun Shop to tell me its in and ready for pick up. now there's recoil springs and hammer springs to buy. My friends, I am living the high life. Pix will come as soon as I get it picked up.

I think MCS gives you enough info when they ship that you can figure out its arrival date. I have never waited for someone to call me to tell me a gun has arrived.

Congratulations, guaranteed to be one of your favorites, recommend changing out the hammer spring as the factory spring takes the strength of King Kong on D/A pull!!!

I'm sure you will like it, that's why I suggested MCS be listed as a recommended source to get them.
I bought four from them and they are all like new.

torpeau,
I'm going through a local gun shop on their FFL. I'm sure it won't take long to get from MCS to the Gun Shop. Until it gets there, I wait. Fritzhund , it was off of your recommendation that I browsed their site. Looked at everything they had as best as I could and selected. I hope I chose wisely. I have not heard of anything but good things about MCS and any communication to them has been handled well. I don't have time to visit the gun shop everyday so when it gets there, he'll call, I'll pick it up then I'll have more news. Until then I'll wait!

Does Wolff springs not make a recoil calibration pac for the p-64 like they do for the PA-63 and the cz-82? Went order springs and now I don't know what recoil spring to order for my p-64. What do i do?

dwd,
Wolff makes recoil and hammer springs for the P-64.
You can get a hammer spring package consisting of an 18, 19 and 20 lb.hammer springs.
The recoil springs are sold separately. Most common replacement recoil spring is the 20 lb. A 22 lb. is also available. The 22 lb may require flattening of the end coils to fit. The 22 lb.also makes it a bit difficult to rack the slide.
Most popular combination is the 18 lb. hammer spring and the 20 lb. recoil spring.
The P-64 is listed on the Wolff site under Radom...the manufacturer of the P-64
