Well the ol man took the S&W Mod. 60, 92- FS and the springfield XD 9mm sub compact to the range to day. All shot great, but I,m use to racking the slide back on my 1911s & the XD. When I racked the slide back on the 92FS, the bit*h caught the web of my hand due to the open top, damn that hurt. Guess I'll learn down the road. ???

Plus 1 with michaelap, my right hand just doesn't look right without a long slice on the right hand web area. I don't even think about them any more, kind of a right of passage that you get to enjoy again and again and again and again and again, you get the idea. I own a Taurus 92AF, a Beretta clone, can't remember ever getting any slide bite from the pistol, but thats a long slide and sounds like it would be deep and painful.

The last three weeks, I have left the range with a nicked-up trigger finger - just a bit of blood. I guess a 2 week vacation from P-64s is needed. My hands are smallish and that's their only complaint.

Want to hear about a bad day at the range. A shooter at a local gun club was practicing with his "Glock" when it jammed...he fiddled and diddled with it and decided to try one more thing so as not to have to bring it to his smith. He put his hand over the barrel and pushed it back with the slide...yup...shot himself in the fleshy part under his left thumb! Ugly but at least he didn't damage anything that would leave permanant nerve damage, so they think...just going to have an ugly scar!! Idiot...but I thought Glocks didn't jam... :o
