For a fine '68 rd hammer, up to 250.00 sounds ok by me. I don't mind paying for a gun that my life depends on.

You know, Gray.....that's a darn good point. I'm a cheapscate....always looking to pinch a buck. Heck, I'd squeeze the s#@t out of a buffalo nickel! But that's something that'll help open up my pocket and put that gun in the collection if I'm frowning about the price.

The great thing is that a year from now you can say:
"I only paid just over $200 for it, got a great deal."

I had four, sold two for other purchases. Got over 200 on ea. I'd still pay that for a nice one, they are as rare as hen's teeth around here. If you find one in this area, about 225 to 250 is the going price before taxs.

remeron, I hope you have your new pistol checked by a qualified gunsmith before you attempt to fire it. Stay Safe. orchidhunter

rmeron,
I'd say you did good. I bought my P-64 (68 round hammer) in January 07 at a gun shop for $190 including tax. I'd say $10 more and 14 months later is what I'd expect to pay at least.I did'nt get it inspected by a gunsmith but I did clean it thoroughly.

I will definately have to clean mine also, but I've never had a problem with any of my surplus firearms.
