I thought that was the end finish.

If anything else just more of the same to get a deeper blue/black finish...right?

I thought that you had to put some finish, on a gun. Even bluing gives some rust protection. I didn't know that you could leave a gun bare metal??

A handy speed loader for the CZ82 is an HKS Model 940. I find this loader also works for a CZ52.

I couldn't resist...C&R purchase #2, should be delivered on Thursday (ordered it too late to ship today).

I guess I had better stock up on some 9x18?!

Don't remind me, I'll probably have a new safe by the end of the week too.

This is what Norm and I were initially discussing last night, the way he stripped and blued one of his CZ82s. I'm afraid of the "potentially" lousy black finish and if I get a poor copy or if I damage it what to do. I do like the way he blued his but I would like it darker although he feels that is about as dark as it will get due to the nickel content of the metal. Maybe there is a bluing fluid that turns metal black not blue?? More important, I hope my CZ82 shows up in 100% perfect condition and I don't have to think about it. We'll see on Thursday.

This particular product (Birchwood Casey Super Blue) is specially formulated and "Designed for bluing mirror polished steel parts that contain nickle and chrome alloys." This is quoted from the label on the bottle.

and it should work for you. Hope this helps.

Thanks but I hope I get a good enough copy that I don't need to do anything to it!!

I laughed when everyone told me a C&R would be expensive. I said $30 big deal!! I've only made 2 buys so far but the wish list keeps growing!

Then all the little projects I want to do with these purchases and the grips I want to spiff them up with (Dennis you're killing me)and the ammo I need to hoard!!! Help I'm addicted is there a list of the 9x18 steps to overcoming this addiction. Hi I'm Carguy and I'm a Mak addict (this isn't original but I like it).

His Mak missed and shot some ponies.

Well, you said you would want it darker if you blued it, and that's why I posted the information and the link.

You are welcome.
