Thanks for the welcome!! Its not as bad as MA, NJ or CA at least not yet. Its difficult bordering PA, WV and VA all gun friendly states, open carry and Shall Issue. Sometimes seem like Castro is a Moderate :'(
As stated, I collect by caliber. I was collecting 9para but now moved on. If i'm missing anything please send them my way. I've read that Walther has a 9mm Mak PPK but not sure?? any Comblocks that i'm missing LMK and thanks!

Another newbie with a recent addition to the safe - a 1973 P-64. 40 year old broadcast (TV - transmitters, studio boards, cameras, microwave/satellite trucks) engineer, who has a thing for single stacks. An EG Makarov, HK P7, Sig P6, S'field 1911 - these get more play than the "modern" double-stacks I own. Once I got a good look at P-64, I was in love.
Now, let's see what I'm thinking after some range time.

I just ordered a P-64 from an online seller so I thought I'd join. This place seems to be a great resource for owners of this firearm.
I'm a mechanical engineer living in South Carolina. I work for a firearms manufacturer and received my training for my concealed carry permit through work. I already owned semi-auto handguns in .45ACP, .40S&W, 9mm Parabellum, and 5.7X28mm but whenever I leave the house with a handgun on me I find myself usually slipping my wife's J-frame Smith&Wesson snubby revolver into my pocket. Based on that, I started looking for an affordable and reliable pocket pistol of my own. The P-64 seemed like the best choice at the present time, it's slightly more compact and carries more rounds than the revolver and I really prefer a metal-framed handgun for concealed carry. I'll be doing the spring changes on mine and probably lightly polishing and dressing the functional surfaces of the trigger action. Other than that, it seems as if it should be a great little carry pistol.
In addition to my interest in firearms I also study the history of vintage motorsports and build scale models of vintage racers. I moderate a forum for motorsports model car builders and I create artwork for vintage racing decals in scale.
Thanks for maintaining this resource, I look forward to participating.

Hi all, still lurking here. I live in Wichita, Ks and have a CC license. I was in the military a couple times. Currently work with at risk kids in my main job and do youth ministry on the side. I'm going to be 41 next year, was born in 69, and if I ever pick up one of these guns i want it to be from that year-- think that would be so cool. Currently I either carry a smith 442 revolver or an naa .22 buntline-- or both.
I like forums that have their own community and this one looks pretty neat. I have been on various weird niche boards before for bicycling and scooters. Just got engaged to be married, have a patient fiance that doesn't mind my gun fascination.

Great forum! Just started getting into Soviet and Warsaw Pact handguns. Collect military firearms from almost every country.Drive a restored Willys 46 Jeep and a 72 Triumph TR5T for fun. Shoot all the guns I own.My 18 year old son and I,are at the range at least once or twice a week. Our gun club puts on 2 large shows a year,Valparaiso, Indiana. Excellent source of all kinds of interesting guns. My daily carry is either a S&W 940 9mm revolver w/Crimson Trace grips,or an H&K USP Compact 45acp. Though at one time or another, have carried every handgun I own. Some of my firearms are here at Photobucket.

Hello, I just bought the last two P64's at Military Gun Supply. I was told they were "like new" and I hope they are. I have to admit, I doubt I would have bought them had it not been for this forum. There's some great information here. I haven't even received them and I'm already excited about them. I'll take them apart, soak them in Mineral Spirits, lube and reassemble them with the new trigger spring and out to the range I go. I'm tempted to change the recoil spring but I'm kinda curious about the real kick before toned down. I'll report back on the results. I have a S&W SV9E but it's so large for a carry weapon and I think this will be the perfect piece. I also purchased two clipdraws, what a neat invention!

Hi: I joined the forum about a month ago and have been very impressed with the friendly responces I have gotten when asking for information. I myself have been an advid collector and restorer of antique radios and have posted many threads at the antique radio forum. There I have run across a number of very nice people with good info and a number of real cranky old men and nuts. You can check out my web site at the following link.

I have sold and purchased hundreds of old radios on ebay and off. My middle son got me back into target shooting and collecting pistols and rifles. I find the old historical pieces of the most interest although I own a number of modern firearms as well. I'm looking forward to many more years of collecting and shooting. Regards, Art " Zenithman2003 "

Hello everyone.
New guy here from Arizona, the land of open carry, joining in.
I have my choice of P-64, either a '68 or '73. The '73 seems tighter than the other. Any advantages other than the slide to frame fit.
Nice forum here, lot's of good information on the P-64

So much good info. on this site...so I decided to join. You guys had answered a couple of my questions even before I was a member. What better to bring people together than a shared passion for something. Funny thing is I had bought a p-64 a while back and after going to the range I just put it away and forgot about it. Then, I started looking for something to carry on an ankle holster and realized I already had the perfect little handgun for that purpose. So I dusted it off and when I need deep concealment or as back up, my little P-64 is right there. Thank you guys for a great site!
