pb, what wood is that? I really like the color.
All the grips I've ordered were checkered. You don't have any problems with smooth grips?

They really do look nice. So far no problems with firing it. I hope they hold up. I know others have had their share of problems with Dennis's grips.
There are internal dowels that look like they will provide some extra strength.

I think the P-64 problem was solved when the back height of the grips was reduced.

Its been a while, and they were given to me by a very good friend, but I believe they are either Bocote or Rosewood, but I'm thinking they are Bocote, I remember he said they were only $17 a set. I believe they are hand made by volunteers for a non-profit origination.

Not to butt in but I understand from Stephan A. Camp's writings that the Star weights 2.14 lbs empty.
