I was so proud of myself, I thought I did such a good job of removing the cosmoline. I was using aerosol Rem oil, is there somewhere I should be using some grease?
Like I said it was cold outside and I didn't take the time to look and see what was happening but, I think it was hanging up in the mag.
I'm glad I only bought 1 box of the wolf ammo(to try it out), I've got some Blazer ammo, I'll try that next. I considered buying 1000 rounds of Wolf ammo off the Internet, I'm glad I didn't do that. I'll save what I have left to shoot through my p-64 when it gets here, I hear they'll eat anything.

I don't know dia. of Blazer ammo, if you can pull a bullet and mic. it and its .364 it not going to feed any better than Wolf. or load the mag up and with your finger or thumb push the bullet out one at a time and see if they get hung up a .363 dia. won't hang up

Clean and ,Clean again then try different Ammo, also check the magazine feed lips for abnormalities.(bends/dents/etc.) Also it might help with that wolf ammo to rap the magazine in your hand a couple of times to make sure that all of the bullets are oriented towards the front or rear of the magazine.(whichever your gun prefers) try ball/round nosed bullets next, it may be that that ammo is too short and your gun just doesn't like it? in THAT case , it will be wise not to waste the ammo by throwing it away. The proper solution will be to purchase a Radom P-64 then you will have a dispenser for that particular 9x18 ammo. You will be twice as pleased to have two good pistols! = win/win!
it sure does need to break in. Mine has been great from the get-go and is a pleasure to shoot. I have seen it suggested here , that several hundred shots will improve it . there are other options available to make it work great-er. but a good cleaning and break in with a different ammo type should make it work consistant. Feed ramp polishing or spring change info are all posted thru this website so, ask , and ye shall recieve. good luck, G

I re-cleaned my PA-63 the other day. I took it to the range and loaded it with Blazer ammo. More ftf than worked. I took the same ammo, put it through my P-64(I just got) not one ftf. Then I loaded the P-64 with the wolf ammo that gave me trouble in the PA-63 the other day, and it went through just fine too. I may be comparing apples to oranges here, maybe the P-64 is designed for this ammo and the PA-63 is not.
I have some mfs makarov+p ammo on order, maybe this Hungarian ammo will feed through this Hungarian PA-63 better. I can't find any silver bear ammo anywhere.
Any suggestions?

Norm, you think the +P stuff is ok for a PA-63? I see that it's 95 gr. so that's OK, but I figured hot ammo would be bad in an alloy frame gun???

they wouldn't make it if it wasn't safe for a PA-63, beside it's not more powerful than any others out there the +P is a marketing ploy and only sold in America with that description , because American's have to be bigger ,faster , and the most powerful mentality

Norm, are you sure about the +p being a marketing ploy? Mine came in last night and it's stamped right on the bottom of the bullet "9x18 MAK+P". It just seems like a lot or extra work for a marketing trick. I don't have anything to compare it to, don't know if I could tell the difference if I did. Nice looking smooth brass case with a fmj bullet.
I did luck upon a box of 9x18 silver bear on AuctionArms. I bought it on a hunch. It was advertised 94 grain russian made. And it turned out like I thought, Silver Bear. A little high though, $14.50. But, now I have some to campare with.
Snowing here today so I'll have to wait a while before I can try it.
