Does anyone know about Springfield making some of these mags?

Springfield does not make the mags. I picked up an aftermarket maga while ago on ebay and the advertisment mentioned that the same comoany that makes mags for Springfield Armory makes them for the P64. It was a true POS that I ended up tossing after I took the finger grip, spring and follower out
(I don't know why but it worked out, someone took the finger grip). Anyways I had nothing but problems with it and have been fine with the original 2 ever since. If I need more than that then I needed alot more than a handgun!!!

Torpeau, I havve had and still have the problem that you are having. I returned the gun to the origional factory springs. I took it to the range and shot about 2 clips before the slide came back and stuck behind the slide stop. All of my springs are good but I have noticed some scarring on the very tip of the slide stop. The only thing I can think of is to go a little stiffer than the factory springs. I hope this helps or gets you on the right track to fix your pistol.

Thanks, but the 2nd hiccup came after I put in a stiffer spring. It's funny that I had fired a couple 100 rounds before the first hiccup -- I'm hoping it was a problem with a particular magazine that allowed a round to jam the slide back. I have set the magazine from the 2nd hiccup aside.
