Really nice. Are 1911s a specialty for you?

Okay then I won't get mad ...yet. I remember that the grip guys website said it would take 2-3 weeks but I got an email that they had printed a label and "informed the USPS that they were shipping a parcel". I'll be patient.

But those do look AWESOME!!

You know Norm, I bet you could strip the original grips down, even re-create those grooves or make them smooth and stain them into something beautiful!! That would be a fun project with sand paper and a dremmel.... :'(

Good looking pistol, Norm. Is that a direct copy of a 1911, as in interchangeability of U.S. made 1911 parts?

barnett

it uses the 1911 barrels and mags and recoil spring, it doesn't have the grip safety on it, yesterday I order a new stainless steel barrel for it because this one has been shot a lot

Norm, just to let you know I heard that grips from the Grip Guys are beautiful and durable but may need some "fitting" so be forwarned. I didn't heed my own advice and recently order a pair of Devils Fire grips for my Star BM...I'll let you know how they work out when they show up... :'(
I have some grips from them that on on their way to me. Am hoping they don't need much work.

That grain structure is beautiful, Norm. She turned out real nice! Looks like a different gun.
