Also, as they started manufacturing M44s, they stopped making M38 stocks and used the M44 stocks for both carbines.

Norm, just out of curiosity....does the Classic Arms M-38 have the M-44 stock with the bayonet slot cut out in the stock? A lot of re-arsenal 38's were put into 44 stocks from what I've heard.

I dont want to hijack this thread, but as it says "you guys made me do it"...well...you guys made me do it. All this talk of Mauser's, Yugo SKS's, M-1's, and CZ-82's forced me into ordering the application for a C&R FFL. Thanks allot guys. ;D

I see the need for a much larger safe in my near future.
