OT E.G. Makarov Find at Knob Creek

As nasty as it was Saturday at Knob Creek, finding this E.G. Makarov made it all worth it. Its a 1962 [Fairly Common] but it came with the Maintance Log, two mags/clips and holster. It's in EX condition at lest 98%, in a few days I get it cleaned up and take it to the range.

Beautiful... How deep does a working man have to dig down in his old fruit jar to get a 98% Mak in Kentucky??

It's truly a shame you had to travel so far for such a find.

So tell me you really didn't enjoy KC that much did you?

i heard a rumor Papbear is in love and slept with that Mak.

well we were around alot. together.... but was saying what a nice guy he was nothing else... ;D ..anyway I was too buzy with my new love of the day a ak47 that had to come home with me...

It was all well worth the trip, for me only about 150 miles, got to meet up with two guys from this board and even if I hadn't picked up the Makarov, just getting to meet them was worth the trip. Hooked up with grayfox first, he had to head back to Tennessee due to an emergancy so we only got to visit for a short while, but standing in the rain and just getting to talk to him was priceless, he is a true gentleman and now a friend. A little later hooked up with anjdrifter, and I got to tell you, he is a supper guy and now another good friend, he was there the day before and ran recon, so I had a point man for the whole day, and he is the one that put me onto the E.G. Makarov. Even with the quagmire that the rain brought, I had one hell of a nice day, you had to be there to appreciate what I am saying, there is no subtitute for friends and I found two special guys in one day and for me that is tops, it has never happen before and well probably never happen again for me. My only regret is that the three of us didn't get to spend this day together. So anjdrifter and grayfox, thanks guys for making my first experience to Knob Creek one of the best days of my life, and the iceing on the cake was the Makarov.

Very nice indeed. I have a few Bulgarians but I love the way yours looks. I know they are going for quite a bit on some of the auction sights.

There were people down from canada, so maybe you can make a trip someday, but if this bunch every got together at KC, they would have to shut it down.
