Serrated Trigger

I have a 1971 with a serrated trigger and a 1969 with a smooth trigger. The serrated one a sharp grooves that annoy the finger. Does anyone know if the smooth triggers are on specific year models?

I've run across 2 74 models that were that way. Both had lost the blue finish as my marks/grooves/serrations aparently were introduced after the blue process. Sent one back & received another w/trigger just like the other one. Ended up grinding the trigger smooth, polishing it n cold blue 2 taste.
