New P-64 in my collection!

Post by boreclear »

I got my first p-64 from SOG a few weeks ago. It is a 1970 with the thumbrest grips, and a rounded hammer.

I am happy with it. It had a few specks of rust on the slide tho. I coated it with CLP for a day then scratched it off with my fingernail. I do not see the marks anymore :)

I purchased 2 additional mags with it. =3
It came with a cleaning rod but no holster. :(

One of the extra mags looks identical to the matching ser. no. mag that came with the pistol. But the other has a slightly smaller opening on the bullet end of the mag lips. It functions the same though 100%. So far 40 rds of Federal FMJ. 20 rds of Silver Bear 94HP. Both seem to have the same POI.

I can shoot baseball sized groups out to about 40 feet with it. With the group averaging 1.25 inches right and 2 inches high of the bull. 25 yard group was about softball sized groups roughly 5 inches high and 2 inches right of the bull.

Next comes the reloading venture. I have done a little 380ACP and 45ACP so far.

boreclear,

Welcome to the P-64 Forum!!! We hope this Forum and its members will be able answer any of your questions. If you have not done so yet, take a look at all the "Stickeys" on each heading, there is a LOT of information there on these little Pistols
