Easy way to replace the HAMMER STRUT ?

I received my new #16 Hammer Strut, but how best to replace it ?

I'm thinking of removing the pin that holds #18 Magazine Catch in, but that's probably really stupid.

You're right! The strut-spring has a small hole in it in which to put a paper clip or whatever so the assembly will remove. watch this video to see how it's done:
