Cleaning rod help

Post by filodivers »

New guy here, I am looking to acquire an original cleaning rod (with the folding handle). I purchased one from gunbroker and the seller is MIA. Any help with locating one stateside is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Will

I don't think I have saw any locally. That's usually about the only place to get one is on Gunbroker from a seller in Poland. His listing says to wait 14 - 21 days to receive the item. You may give it time yet. I do have one for my pistol and won't get rid of it, but I never use it. Regular pistol cleaning kits and screwdrivers will do the most good. I'd say just wait on it and see if it comes in.

Surf, I think it would. I like the idea of the longer "punch" tip on the rod. If it could be bought for cheap it would be worthwhile. The P-83 mag could almost be sold to recoup most or all of the money spent on the deal. Good eye!

The ebay seller is mistaken about the capacity of the P-83 mag tho. It does not hold ten rounds, only eight. They at least have the right mag pictured. Not a bad price either.

What kind of folding handle are you looking for? The P-83 cleaning rod listed on the eBay listing had the traditional swinging/hinged handle that the P-64 cleaning rods have.

I didn't realize it was the same rod. I'll take either one. Just trying to make a complete as issued set. Thanks
