What will be the next great surplus import?
What will be the next great surplus import?
Any rumors as to what rifle or pistol import will be next?
Every time I think we have seen the last one, another great gun comes along.
Could Russia import the Makarov in .22cal? Will their agreement not to export the Makarov to the U.S. expire like the assault weapons ban?
Is there any decent surplus pistol left in the world that the U.S. civilian market hasn't already gobbled up?
Speculation?
Discuss!

Re: What will be the next great surplus import?
The CZ-82 and P-64 are at the top of the list for now. They are both somewhat distinctive from the majority of surplus guns in that they are both well-suited for use and have features desirable in any handgun. Unlike an "outdated" Nagant pistol, these two guns are on many people's CC rotation and hold their own against Walther and even Glock. I would suggest making sure these two current C&R guns get into as many collector's hands as possible, before they run out!
The next gun to come into the C&R family? who knows,,, but it will likely be an older, "outdated" revolver or rifle that has some appeal, but the chance that it will be as useful as the CZ-82 or P-64 is highly unlikely!

Hopefully PA-63, and hopefully they'll still be available.
(I'm not holding my breath though.)

I've heard rumors that C&R eligible Hi Powers are coming.
I'm still waiting, though.

I would love to see a huge batch of R61's come to our shores. That gun seems to be the best aspects of both the P64 and PA-63 combined.

Man, jbabbler is right: I love my R61. I'd buy two more if they were reasonable.

The latest has been the Zurich, Police P225 and P226 (Montage Suisse) pistols. The P226's are awesome because they are still being produced so parts are easy to come by.KampusKop wrote:Any rumors as to what rifle or pistol import will be next?

And J&G, and Military Gun Supply has the Polish P-83 in stock.
Re: What will be the next great surplus import?
+1 on the Polish P83! If it were to go on the C&R list I would buy one
immediately if not sooner.
