Another broken safety lever

Post by richymak »

Well, I picked up a complete gun knowing the lever was broken.I couldn't pass it up at the price I got it for .I figured it would be a good parts gun at least for my 2 others.
So..There is no safety levers to be had? Or , if someone knows where to get one or has one for sale, let me know.
I have a feeling I would be on a long list of others.
Some solutions I have come up with are ( and let me know if you have any ideas):
1: Just use it as a parts gun. It's a 75 and everything else looks good.
2: use it as is ,with no safety.I don't use it anyways.
3: hope that someday, someone will supply a replacement. I would think a machine shop with a CNC could pop them out pretty economicaly.
4: Has anyone tried a wather PP one to see if it works?
5: try and test my micro TIG welding skills and weld it back together and clean it up.
6: Finally : machine a new one.I figure it would take me weeks. But ,I would have a good gun.

Well ,let me know what you think. Maybe there would be enough demand for them that we could get someone to make em.

Another broken safety lever

Since you said you got a great deal, you'd likely recoup your investment if you parted it out. You'd also benefit a lot of guys who need oddball parts. Or, save it for parts for yourself - there are none out there.

I would keep it for spare parts myself.
