P64 firing pin

Post by dbcooper100 »

Hello, I am new to this message board and P64.

Just bought a P64, it would not fire, found the firing pin broken off. Have tried several gun shops and internet sites with no luck so far. TGI does not have any. Does any one have one or tell me where to find it.

Regards,
Dale.

Bought from a friend of mine, would like to repair this one if possible. I could return it to him and buy another if I i can't fine a replacement firing pin.

Dale

did he ever shoot the gun, if he did he was probably shooting wolf ammo in it and had a pierced primer

right now there are no replacement parts for these guns so watch what you shoot in them or you are going to have a parts gun, or a paper weight

Dale,
Welcome to the forum. Of all places for D.B.Cooper to resurface, we are honored you chose here.
I think it was gunneyrabbit that had a parts gun not too long ago.
It was the one with the crushed frame. Might shoot him a PM.

P64 firing pin

Post by dbcooper100 »

The friend that I am buying P64 from has not fired this gun. He bought two of them modified one and uses it. The other, the one I am buying was stored for the last couple of years. He did not know about the broken firing pin until we attempted to shoot it when I bought it.

I like the gun and would like to get it operational. Could go look for another to buy, but that is to easy! and would not solve the broken gun problem. I have enjoyed working on this gun so far any way.

P64 firing pin

That would be spendy. What year did you say it was? I have a firing pin from a 1968 P-64. We could talk.
