THE SCREWS ARE TIGHTENED A LITTLE MORE
THE SCREWS ARE TIGHTENED A LITTLE MORE...
Remember how the Obamanation said that he wasn't going to take your guns? Well, it seems that his minions and allies in the anti-gun world have no problem with taking your ammo!
The bill that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana ) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacture a data base of all ammunition sales. So they will know how much you buy and what calibers. Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded.
Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011. (Including hand-loaded ammo.) (You got to be kidding!)
They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more! If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun!
This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington.
To find more about the anti-gun group that is sponsoring this legislation and the specific legislation for each state, go to:
http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation.htm
I took this from the State of Arizona's pages
BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2011, A "PRIVATE CITIZEN" OR A RETAIL VENDOR SHALL DISPOSE OF ALL NONCODED AMMUNITION THAT IS OWNED OR HELD BY THE CITIZEN OR VENDOR.
Quotes and underline added. Hopefully this will Wake Up some of the people who were charmed by the Master Snake Oil Salesman and will take action by screaming to the top of their lungs at their idiot representatives and senators who are pushing this bill.

I used their "Contact" link to email 'em my opinion:
It went something like this:
"Expletive Deleted"
"From my cold, dead hands!"
Unfortunately it bounced, their mailbox is full (probably aboandoned.)

Somewere we must draw a line in the sand. Do we become sheepie & turn in our guns & ammo?, or do we hide them away in case the worse happens. I,m afraid that most people are just talk, but I hope that there are enought "true" americans that will draw the line. No matter how old I get, I'll die a free man, not a "subject".

This is just the beginning, there will be much more to come. If you don't belong to the NRA now is a good time to join, they are going to need a lot of money to fight this group of fanatics.
You can only hope that there will be a huge out cry from the general population that will stop the lunacy. The only thing these people are afraid of and react to is bad press and negative reactions from voters.
Looks like I chose the wrong time to start reloading.

Your right Norm of course, it's just hard for me to get my mind around the new United Socialist States of America and all the crap that is going on right now. Makes me sick because I can't see any way to stop it. This peace of crap Governor from Illinois, Rod Blajogevichn is just the tip of the ice burg, how can the president elect divorce himself from one of the good old boys in the party from his own state. If it hasn't been said yet let me be the first, Obama is involved, at least via association if not something more cozy and only time will tell how it all washes out. Like I said, this is only the beginning, it's going to get worse, this will not be the last of our constitutional rights to be stomped on in the name of a better safer socialist society.
I'm starting to ramble and vent, I'm sorry it is just making me sick to think where we are going.

My new friends, during 2008 I bought 13 handguns and one shotgun. A couple of months ago, I began stockpiling ammo. I now have 11,000+ rounds of live ammo. For Christmas, I bought myself a reloading setup and built a bench. I'm now stockpiling reloading components. "They" won't get my firearms or ammunition. My children are grown and doing very well. I've been single for 15+ years. I was raised in the country and can supply my own needs. I have my CCW and carry 100% of the time. "Laws" will not take my freedom from me. I was born free, have lived free, and will die free. My individual freedom is all I need and all I have. I won't surrender it or allow it to be taken from me by anyone. I will not be enslaved - even by the USA.
