Pistol updates?

Post by setzer77 »

Afaik, there are three generations of the pistol. The first two have a round hammer, the third with a triangular. I seem to have read something on here about internal parts being updated, but I don't remember what it was.

So here's my question. I have a 1972, round hammer, etc. Are there any parts that need to be updated like the trigger spring, extractor etc? I'm not interested in updating the hammer, unless it somehow improves mechanical function (I doubt this) but any other parts would be swapped as necessary.

Thanks.

So no changes were made in design except the shape of the hammer? The information I got was incorrect?

Was that updated on the second edition round hammers, or only on the ones with the triangular hammer? Thanks.

So if I wanted to replace those parts, it is a drop in conversion, or do I need a new hammer?
