Gunboard member posted this outstanding review and analysis of the P83.

Plenty of pics.

I am really starting to wonder why I haven't bought one of these yet. I really like the 9 x 18 round. Is this gun "better" than the P64?

Love my P-83, but my P-64 conceals better, can carry it easy for EDC. The P-83 and my Bulgarian Mak are alternates!

I have both also and my P83 is a much better shooter and not a lot bigger to carry either. We have open carry out here no worries either way

Yeeeah... Define "better."

The P83 trigger is "better," it has more magazine capacity, and is more pleasant to shoot. The P64, OTOH, has higher quality machining, no stampings, and a superior grade of bluing, altogether showing much higher craftsmanship, and is shorter, thinner, and lighter for, arguably, more comfortable CC.

"Better" is what it is to you.

The P64 looks to me like a work of art. Not a range gun, no fun to shoot. The P83 is more pleasant to shoot. The bottom of the slide looks like a 6 year old tried to sharpen a lawn mower blade on a bench grinder.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I need to order an IWB holster from either Alien or Crossbreed. What weapon would approximately be close to the P-83?
