FIRING PIN SPRING

the first thing is to take the extractor out

take dental pick put it in between the extractor and the extractor pressure pin
Image

pull back on the extractor pressure pin and take out extractor slowing let go of extractor pressure pin
and take out

push firing forward as far as it will go take hemostats and clip the on to the firing pin

Image

put muzzle end of slide strait down this will relieve the safety pin

you may have to pull down on the hemostats at the same time wiggle and turn safety until comes out

release hemostats take firing pin out

Image

Image

there is a small spring with a plunger on top of the firing pin you may want to just clean it and put it back

pull firing pin spring off and replace

put back together in reverse order

CHANGING SPRINGS IN PA-63

Post by spudit »

Thanks again Norm,

Why again? I just used your instructions to switch out the trigger spring on my PA-63 with Wolff's lightest from the 3 spring kit , the 9 pounder. Lighter is less safe, but I'll see if it's better. The lower DA trigger pull was nice on the test dry fire, almost like the cocked pull, I'll test it with live ammo tommorow.

It was easy with a little coaching. Thanks
