Howdy all, just picked up an Astra A75 9mm over the weekend. Wanted one for 15+ years and finally got my hands on one. Needs a new sear, the double action sear cut is worn, single action is crisp and positive. New sear is ordered, EAA was the distributer and still sells parts. But I can't find information on how to detail strip it. Anyone out there know where I can find it?

Yeah I got those but thanks for posting them. So these are a Sig clone in more than just looks? I just want to be able to strip it down to the frame with out screwing it up.

I looked around for a while and couldn't find anything either.
Why don't you post over on the Spanish Pistol board over on gunboards to see if any body has any experience in taking one all the way down.

Update, new sear from EAA USA, who imported the Astra A75 and still has new / old stock of parts, if anybody else needs some. Cost- $20.00.
Sear installed with a couple of bad words and the problem was still there. Found out the right grip was binding on the trigger drawbar when gripped tightly. Minor dremel work to the inside of the grip and she works as advertised! Issue had probably been there all along as the factory original sear looked as perfect as the replacement. Shoots very very nice and carries perfectly, almost as nicely as my Star BM or Firestar. And found a supplier of original military issue mags, never issued as far as I can tell, for $10.00 each! This pistol has been one good find after another. Pictures to follow.
And no, OG17, I will NOT send it to you for "testing". Lol.

Ok, was trolling my old posts and realized I had never posted pics of my new / old Astra A75. Well, here it is. I just finished making the grips for it, they are Cherry wood with a custom blended stain. I love the way this gun carry's and shoots. if you get the chance to own one, do not hesitate, you will not be sorry. Not real crazy about "shiny pistols" so I am looking to have this one coated with either Duracoat or Cerecoat, not sure which yet.

BTW, nice looking grips. I have a couple that Ketch made for my 1911s:
The ones on the Ruger are Spalted Maple and the ones on the RIA are Padauk. He does good work and cheap.
