I just bought a Colt Pocket Positive DOM 1917 in .32 S&W long a week or so ago. I was wondering if anyone here could tell me the difference between the Colt Pocket Positive and the Colt Police Positive model? Thank you in advance.

Are you sure that the gun in the picture is a "Pocket" Positive?

It was a caliber thing. Pocket positive for the 32s and 22s, Police Positive for the 38s and later Police Positive Special for the .38 Specials. Of course some .38 Specials left the factory with the older barrel marks until the older stocks were used up.
