I did a little modification on a Romanian Tokarev by adding a muzzle break and Marschal wraparound grips (black stained walnut). I also got a Ross tuckable IWB holster.

Dom,
Excellent refinsih job on the Romanian Tokarov. I'll have to check with CIA in Georgia, VT to see if any are still available. I wonder how the bake on Aluma-HydeII finish from Brownells would work if I bead blasted an old Tokarov that I have? Sgt P.

Thanks Sgt. P,
The Dupli-Color high temp engine paint that i used has held up quite well over the past 8 months. All the cleaning supplies i use (Hoppes 9, Kroil, Ballistol) haven't done any damage to the finish.
I plan on refinishing one of my CZ-82s in the next few months, and i've just about decided to try Brownells Aluma-Hyde no bake in Matte Blk.

I only have the one Romanian. It's a natural pointer to me. Putting a wrap around grip would spoil the feel of it.

Hello Dom! I'm very taken with your Romanian/Polish Tokarev Safety Plug! I know that there are a LOT of people out there who would lay down good money to get a plug to replace that mickey mouse (no offense to mickey) safety! Several GunBroker Sellers I've talked to are VERY interested! Joe Bartelt up in the frozen north at gunpartswarehouse.com said he'd make them for me, if I want to sell them.....Would you mind emailing me? at brother40@mac.com so we could discuss this? I have an engineer, gunsmith, FFL01 friend up in Kaufman, TX who is also very interested in being part of this......Thank you!.....DesertDave

I bought one for my son for Christmas and was very impressed with it. The kick is less than my goldcup but the mussle flash is cool. It is going back to the importer today however because of the safety recall.

Tokarev is my next gun purchase. Would love to get a plug to fill the hole from the safety removal!

For those who CCW a Tokarev, do you carry with a round in the tube? I fear carrying my Tokarev because of its lack of safety, especially using a IWB holster.

I did at one point. Nothing happened. However their safety is the half cock. I tried to disengage the half cock on both my Polish and Yugo by bumping it onto stuff and neither budged.
