V.04 grip with grip screw

Like the OP, I just lined up the old grip with the new, and drilled through the hole in the old grip to get the new one where it needed to be. I just did this with a hand drill, and it went together perfectly. Just don't stab your fingers with a spinning drill bit.

That looks good (and much neater than my work!). Did you use screws or re-use the original screw and nut with counter-sinking? The photo is just a little dark on my end.

I sent Russ an email back in November to see how the next version was going.

Never heard back and he hasn't been on since the middle of October. :(

Where can I get these grips I have tried tillander several times , but can get no response , makes me think he doesn't want to sell anything

These grips are prototypes made by one of our (former?) members. And as Curly stated in the post before yours he has not been heard from in some time.
Close enough for Government work will get you dead, ask any Vet.
