List of preferred (and not-so-preferred) parts dealers?

Post by gman68w »

Obviously, there's not a lot of places you can go to get replacement parts for your P-64. And equally as obvious, of the places you can go, there's going to be a couple of guys looking to fleece you (or, maybe not as maliciously, are just under the impression that "rare = worth a fortune"). Even better, there are places selling poorly constructed repro parts and mags.

Wouldn't it be worth it for us to have a list of dealers that are trustworthy, or at least dependable for selling quality parts, as well as a list of dealers to give a pass?

Personally, I just want to know if the guy selling "Mint" mags (five for $150) on GunBroker is on the level.

he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that
hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one."

This guy does a good job with service and shipping although I don't have much to compare him to about prices.

I believe members have purchased parts from the guy from Poland with no problems.

I got this site from a professional gunsmith friend of mine in Wisconsin. ecomm@sarcoinc.com That's the customer service email for Sarco, Inc. They do a lot of older, military firearms. They didn't have much for Radom P-64 but at least it was listed (with a picture) along with a bunch of other obscure weapons. There was a trigger, some other frame parts but no trigger spring which is what I was looking for. Then someone pointed me to Norm's Springs and I'm a happy boy!

I purchased some small safety parts (spring & detent) from a Poland seller "feneks" on Gunbroker. This was a month or so ago and at the time he had quite a few P-64 parts. My parts arrived in a very reasonable time for being sent so far. I would definitely purchase again from him.

Could anyone who's bought the magazines from the "genuine_militaria" guy tell me if they only hold six cartridges, or if they're based off the later versions that hold seven?

Gman68w,

I don't believe there was ever a magazine for the P-64 that held any more than 6 rounds. I am aware of attempts to make existing 6 rounders to hold 7 realiably but I am not sure if any had sucess. If I am wrong please post a link to where I can get some 7 round mags as that would be awesome. :D

I'd just thought I'd read somewhere that magazines for the models produced in the last couple years of it's lifespan held seven. I could be completely mistaken, and remembering a fragment of a fever dream.

I ordered from a guy in Poland on 'Gunbroker' named Withold but it looks like he goes by the name "feneks" already mentioned. Takes PayPal, seemed very nice and my part arrived yesterday (4/24) by registered mail - which I had to sign for - after about 10 days. Not bad at all! Will definitely keep him in mind!

Just got email from that"RobertRTG.COM" saying they just got a pile of parts in. You might want to check to see if P-64 parts are included or other foreign weaponry you might have: http://tinyurl.com/mendo59

P-64 parts they have, including this little beggar. http://www.robertrtg.com/store/pc/P64-M ... 2p3112.htm

And they've got Bakelite grips! Neat!
