I got two 1968's, both with round hammers--both with flat grips. My hamers are both blued steel, so you may have something unusual with that reddish cast.

both of my 68's are accurate, reliable and kick like mules!

I do remember the date on one of mine and it is 1967. I can remember this one because it is the year I graduated from High School. I wish I still looked as good as the pistol, LOL The pistol is near 99% and I am about 65%.

To ask a dumb question that maybe I should already know the answer to...when did they start making the P64s? I know they are not on the BATF C&R list so obviously not before 1957 (I didn't even need my fingers to figure that one out because I'm becoming C&R eligible myself this year). How much longer must I wait until I can get one in MASSACHUSETTS?! (With my soon to arrive C&R FFL)

Besides the two '67s, I also have two '73s. The reason I mentioned the '67s only, was chevis, the author of the topic, asked how his '68 rated agewise in the origional topic post.
