Happy 2014, just bought my p64, awaiting delivery from Oregon. Virginia resident, member of S&W, Ruger, Beretta forums. Owned briefly a Bulgy Mak that I repaired, and decided I missed the fun of shooting a blowback da/sa pistol. So here I go again. P64 looks to be more complicated but looking forward to messing with it. Any recommendations on spare parts?

Hi from La. I came across this forum while researching, of all stuff, a French surplus pistol
I just ordered my first P64, which will be my 4th pistol in 9 makarov. I'm thoroughly pleased with the other 3 (CZ 82, EG Makarov, PA 63), so it wasn't hard for this site to convince me to buy this one. I just wish I'd have gotten this back when they were under $150...

It should be in by Saturday. I apparently got the last one from J&G, at least of this stock. I saw it for sale on the 6th, paused briefly, then completed the order and got the shipping email. When I clicked on the item in my order list (to look at the description and pictures again), I got sent to a "product not found" page. I just got the shipping notification at 10 pm local time here.

New here. Just picked up aP64 today. I was at Gander Mtn , not for guns, but I wandered by the gun counter and it followed me home. Super clean, and from dry firing a couple of times, I think it might have had a spring change already. The DA isn't that bad(my CZ70 is worse) and the SA is just sweet.
Haven't shot it yet so I've yet to find out about the recoil.
I've been a Mak guy for a few years now and this seems like a nice addition. So far, Russian and Buligarian PM's, a CZ82 and now this one:)

Hello All,

Recently purchased a P64 from AIM. I have several other military surplus guns, this is my first P64.
I really enjoyed the first 68 rounds I put thru it. Before I post to the forum my issue, I thought I would spend some time utilizing the search feature to see if someone else has had the same issue in the past :-)

So, greetings from North Texas.
