Hey guys, my name is Erik and I live in San Diego, CA. Very cool forum here and thank you for all the information! I have been getting back into guns lately and picked up a p64 for the California price of $279! Crazy expensive for these little guys compared to everyone else...and it was on sale...LOL. Anyways, here is a little collage of my 1973. I changed to Wolfe springs (20 recoil and 19 trigger). Completely disassembled her, every part and then completely de-greased her and then cleaned her and then did a light finger polish job with blue magic (pitting was SEMI-bad) and then de-greased and cleaned again..then oil oil oil and wipe wipe wipe. Dennis grips on way (Walnut with red finish) and she is ready to roll baby! Thanks for having me guys ;)

Greetings all.

Recently acquired a 68 dated P64. Nice find that came with 3 mags. Previous owner had already done the Wolff spring swap so the trigger isn't 20 million lbs in double action plus I got it for stupid cheap. Finding one of these wasn't exactly on the radar but hard to say no to a hell of a deal when offered one.

Already having several 9x18 chambered handguns, a Bulgarian and commerical Russian legit maks along with a Hungarian p63 another 9x18 in the house wasn't an issue with ammo logistics. I have a nice supply of steel cased hardball for the range and enough to keep a few magazines stocked with Hornady's crit defense in 9x18 for carry purposes. This new to me P64 will probably wind up in my carry rotation eventually I'm sure.

Excited to get to the range and put some through it. Even though I'm already aware the gun works fine via the previous owner I'd like to verify for myself before possibly defending my life with it. Plus an excuse to have a range day is always a bonus right? :)

Mainly hit up this forum to just brush up on the information I sort of remembered about these pistols. Seeing the information on better grips definitely has me intrigued. I've already got that Hungarian which isn't exactly the most fun gun to take to range along with a pair of Kel Tec pf9s so small and snappy are already something I'm prepared for.

Thanks for providing the forum.

Hi Team,
New to forum and P64. Bought one in store, pick up date is 1/17. I just picked a cool s/n from their warehouse list, ends in 00700. I liked it and it contains 007, so can't go wrong there! Turned out to be a 1976. Likely to get Wolf springs and the nice rubber grips I've seen here. I did order an orig military flap holster and cleaning rod on GunBroker. A bit concerned how to pay the seller in Poland, my first GB purchase.
From Indy, but now in SoCal (yes it is crazy out here!).
Desert Storm Army vet, fixed Apaches (Fly Army!).
Happy to have joined, looks like a fun, friendly, and informative group.

I just registered today, but have been visiting for awhile. Been a P-64 owner for about a year. I have two, a nice 1974 that I carry, and a near-mint 1970 that stays in a 1968 holster. I love the quality and history of these pistols. I put Wolff hammer and firing pin springs in the CZAK I carry. I had grips from Russ that are great, but the originals are more concealable. I'd like to try grips from "zee" but don't know how to get them. Any help would be appreciated. This a very informative and cool site. Thanks to all for contributing.
