Here is one of Norm Suttons pictures.

Take the slide stop out (WATCH THAT SPRING) and then look to make sure the spring is under the lug of the trigger bar as shown in this picture.

Norm was kind enough to send me a link to one of the videos. ... was left of the original and saw a lot of wear on the spring, really shiny in two places where it had been rubbing ... forty years of use I can understand. I also got a slide stop spring, just in case.

did you clean the whole gun, also check and see if the recoil spring is on right . small end on the barrel frist
