Re: CZ82 new look
The pic looks good. What treatment/finish products were used? Did you do it yourself or had it done elsewhere?

Re: Buffalo Bore 9X18 Coming Soon
Good points all, Weasel which Group did you come from? 5th, no longer there now tho..... Got stuck in AZ now. I also agree. How did you find us, Weasel? What other forums do you frequent? Ross Saw the P-64 in a copy of Shotgun News, decided to get one, and found this forum researching it first. I d...

Re: Serious question about CZ-82
How do you guys carry your CZ-82. I usually carry with a round in the tube, but uncocked. I've never been a fan of cocked and locked (in a IWB atleast). mattwestm, Your method seems right to me. It seems that the double action pull is the real safety. The safety when cocked is too easy to accidenta...

Re: PM holster
Saw these on the Spike TV show "Deadliest Warrior", the "Green Beret vs Spetsnaz" episode. The Russian Spetsnaz seemed to like it. I don't know though, to me it would appear to work against the "Economy of Motion" (look it up if you don't know what it means). Besides th...

Re: P-64 Achilles heel?
Gloob, Ok really I think your physics are flawed. Besides it does not matter anyway, this is why; As long as you have a decent holster with good retention, the only time you would risk dropping your P-64 is while drawing it. If you are drawing it, you'd have it on fire to shoot anyway. So if you wer...

Re: Serious question about CZ-82
Perhaps weakness is the wrong term. She has what is starting to be a worsening case of arthritus. Pain lessens the effectiveness of her grip. I stand by my original statement. Get her a tazor or good pepper spray, and make sure she can operate them. If you truly intend on her being able to use a se...

Re: Serious question about CZ-82
In regards to "racking" the slide... Rather than having her "pull" back on the slide, have her grip the slide, and push forward with the grip, holding the slide in place. Often times this is easier because of the limited amount of grip surface area on the slide. Make it a quick ...

Re: Help... My Slide Won't Come Off!
ray1970, This is the same thing that happened to me with the Wolff 22lb recoil spring. If you look at your original recoil spring you will probably see that both ends are ground flat. The Wolff springs are not, this little bit of material is causing your slide to bind. The way I got my slide off was...

Re: My new addition, P-83!
K never mind. I got it apart fine. It was just so dirty it didn't want to play nice, and I didn't want to force anything. So now that I have it apart I found that the firing pin spring has three different sections broken off, totaling about four coils missing. This explains the rattling and partial ...

Re: My new addition, P-83!
Probably a white crayon. Those are some sharp looking guns mitski. fknipfer1 had bought one of these from J&G, paid for the hand select. Turns out it was extremely filthy, he said cakes of powder came off the inside of the slide. Also, the loaded chamber indicator was missing. J&G did send ...

Re: My new addition, P-83!
mitski, where did you get your P-83 from? Yours looks much better than the one I got from J&G using the "hand pick" feature. Also did you whiten the caliber/model lettering on them yourself or did they both come that way?

Re: SOG vs J&G P-64s
I thought SOG only sold to dealers? How would one order from them? I also got that impression from looking at their site. Nope.....They also sell to private party. You just have to set up a user account, and enter in you favorite FFL's address for the shipping location. They will only ship to FFLs,...

Re: What size are the stock springs?
The standard recoil spring is 18lbs while the standard hammer spring is 24lbs. If you ever need a reference check Wolff's page. That extra spring that came with the recoil spring is a firing pin spring, it's made to match the extra force of the new recoil spring. If you replace one, you should repla...

Re: Wideners has Barnaul 9x18 in the 1440 spam can
That is probably about the best deal on the net. Not to be a nay sayer, but this is not true. Just off hand I know you can get Silver Bear from J&G for less than $0.21 per round or $10.50 a box of 50 if you buy two 500 round cases. Plus I know Silver Bear preforms well in all my 9x18 Makarov gu...

Re: Fort Pistols
Stechkin machine pistol Ruger (I'm pretty sure they made one) Walther (at one point made one in 9x18Mak) Stechkin machine pistol ----- I left this one off the list as it is not in the "Semi-Auto Pistol" category. There are at least seven plus machine pistols/guns chambered in 9x18 Makarov...
